In addition to her husband and children, Patty is survived by 10 beloved grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; her sister, Mary (Jack) Cunningham of Watertown; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Russell Brown and James Brown; sisters Constance (Earl) Kinsman, Carroll (Rich) Guddal, and Virginia (Dr. Gerald) Tracy; and her grandson, Hanson Albers. On October 6, 1956 she and Donald Hanson were married in Maple Grove, MN. She earned her eternal reward, but her passing leaves an unfillable void for her children, family and friends, but also for the community at large. Money and prestige did not matter to her. Also surviving are her brother Jerry (Bernice) McCann of Audubon, MN and three sisters: Karen (Terry) Roberts of Warsaw, IN, Nancy Guile of Leesburg, IN, and Marty Mattson of Michigan City, IN, as well as eight spirited grandchildren.
